The Council shall define workforce productivity as a function of both financial measures and qualitative measures of human resources optimization and success. The Council shall focus not only on expense models, but also investment models for workforce productivity gains.

Workforce Productivity Index (WPI)

The Council will focus on metrics that specifically addresses dynamic and sustainable growth with an integrated strategy to ensure optimal outcomes and long-term profitability. The Council will address technology best practices in the following areas:

example graphic• Time and attendance management
• Training and talent management
• Employee satisfaction and retention
• Time-to-output optimization
• Value-driven workforce development
• Knowledge transfer and communication
• Networking and mobile workforce management

Based on this research and development, the Council shall design and test an econometric model for indexing the inputs and investments necessary to ensure an optimal and productive workforce. This model will be published as the Workforce Productivity Index (WPI), an analytical tool and prescriptive measure for workforce productivity improvement.
